Purity Improves Process
Qualiteks' lead free solder SN100 e has been developed as a
lead free alternative for those now using costly SAC alloys and
for those switching from lead containing Sn63/Pb37 alloys to
the lead free process.
SN100 e is manufactured from tin, copper, and cobalt to cre-
ate solder so pure it far exceeds the most common specifica-
tion requirements. SN100 e lead-free solder alloy is RoHS
compliant and reduces copper dissolution.
This alloy provides brighter, shinier, less grainy solder joints
when compared to SAC305 alloy and is much less expensive.
Qualiteks' manufacturing process assures batch-to-batch
consistency for predictable solder performance.

SN100 e is compatible with all SAC and Sn/Cu alloys.
SN100 e performs with ENIG, immersion tin, immersion
silver, OSP, and hot air leveled board finishes. SN100 e
provides ability to standardize on one lead-free alloy
for all soldering processes.

Benefit of SN100 e vs SN100C
When nickel gets below .035%, the nickel no longer func-
tions and product performance is negatively affected. The
joints become dull in appearance.
Benefit of SN100 e vs SN100C
The Nickel comes out of solution at a much faster rate than
cobalt resulting in a duller solder joint.
Since nickel comes out of solution at a much faster rate than
cobalt, SN100 e offers greater product throughput.
SN100 e
grow smaller, tighter joint crystals compared
to other lead free alloys.
Competitors brands contain Nickel and Nickel works by
restricting the growth of the Sn/Cu crystals. SN100 e is more
uniformly homogenous compared to SAC or Sn/Cu/Ni alloys.
Nickel part of the alloy composition of SN100C goes into the
boundary of the crystals and is rapidly consumed. The nickel
depletes from the alloy. More nickel is used, so a replenish-
ment alloy is needed. SN100 e offers more benefits and better
product performance than any other lead free alloy and it is
less expensive in comparison to most.
